Gears
Since I haven't posted anything in a while, I just want to mention that I'm learning how to use Google Gears and in turn will be adding Gears support to this blog at some point for the fun of it (I dunno what I'll do yet, but whatever it is, it won't hurt anybody and hopefully it'll be fun for more people than just me).
Edit: I've got a desktop shortcut link up, but it keeps crashing my web browser (tested on both Firefox 3 and Safari 2).
Edit 2: I've just found out that in the future Gears will have APIs for desktop notifications, camera access, speaker and microphone access, and advanced features for the canvas tag (I dunno why I didn't find this before).
I'm guessing that the Voice and Video chat feature in Gmail will just use Gears in the future.

B.o.B - I'll be in the sky
B.o.B - "I'll Be In The Sky"
I've been listening to this song ever since I got the Leaders of the new Cool mixtape.
I can't say the video is all that great, but it is cool and original.

lol, all of a sudden I'm a promoter
So I've been listening to stuff from this producer Charlie Hilton (http://charliehilton.blogspot.com/) and I've got to say this dude is down right nice, beautiful production all around (lol, he's definetely better than me) though he's mostly on that deep heartfelt rap and RnB stuff, cool stuff regardless, everyone has their seat, and he makes his look like it's been vacant for him this whole time.
Then there's this other guy, NOVA he's a rapper with a style that is weird amalgamation of Jay-Z and Andre 3000 with a Kanye swagger to it (if it's even right to compare him to anybody) a self promoted alien to the current shape of the industry this guy definitely belongs in someones iPod and more so belongs to be heard, I'm not too sure about radio only because his music is all over the place (one song sounds like A and another sounds like B, if you get what I'm saying) but there are already artists like that out and they're great and I bet this guy may even out do them.
I wish my label was important enough for me to say I'd sign them, but I'm not conceited and I know my current place (my time will come, lol).
I was going to post more artists/producers, but I think they may just pop up here later on anyways, so I'll hold out on them.
(Don't you just love the way I place links all throughout my text)

Nas - Made You Look
I miss this song, whatever happened to tracks like this (I mean as in lyrical hip-hop not the gun stuff, that could come or go with me).

...No words
I'm having one of those moments where I only feel like talking about one thing all week, but I'll avoid my usual ranting and make it simple, Palm killed it.
Take it from this guy
or Ars Technica (if you need some journalist cred to prove it to you).
(I'm just in love with the fact that my web design knowledge will go to yet another use)

I want one
GiiNii a company known for digital picture frames (well, I can't say known, since I haven't heard of it, but whatever) has displayed an Android tablet at CES, that's already being touted as the iPod Touch of Android (expect alot of these in the future) it has a 4.3-inch, 480 x 272 touchscreen, a built in mic, camera, 256MB of internal memory, microSD card slot (why not just regular SD?), oh and a headphone jack.
Too bad all they could say for a price was "less than the iPod touch"
(This new item on my wishlist is thanks to Engadget)

King Of Fighters XII
I can't say that I'm looking forward to this game that much being that the [initial] roster has been reduced to only including two females, but this video definitely says that this game isn't to be overlooked.
Whatever happened to RnB
Seriously, what happened to RnB yeah it's still here, but it's not as big as it used to be and I haven't heard anything truly innovative in a while.
I dunno, it could just be me.
Why isn't this feature built into the PSP?
I would pull the whole Sony has a deal with Google couldn't they work something out argument, but they already have a deal with Access Co. who makes the NetFront browser, which has a widget engine, which is used in Sony Bravia television sets and in the Sony Mylo Com-2, so why haven't they made this same widgets feature for the PSP and even the PS3, this would definitely curb everyone's appetite for apps on the PSP and even help Sony compete with the likes of the iPhone.
Plus if the widgets made it to the PSP and PS3, that would mean there would be more for the Sony Mylo Com-2 and the Bravia television sets, along with whatever other Sony products may use this in the future (Vaio laptops and Blu-Ray players maybe?).
Also, why hasn't this guy released at least a beta of his homebrew Google Gadget engine yet?
